MENTAL HEALTH WEEK: From Monday 17th to Thursday 20th of September, the Hearty Lives Peer Educators held a number of activities to try to raise awareness and money for Renfrew High’s Mental Health Week.

Monday

On Monday, all pupils took part in filling out positive messages on a Twitter bird to display on the doors and in the corridors to create a positive environment within the school.

Tuesday

On the Tuesday all first year classes took part in a carousel of lessons led by Hearty Lives Peer Mentors. A variety of topics were discussed surrounding Mental Health as well as tasks which taught the first years more about Mental Health disorders.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, we held a bake sale in the social area in which many staff baked and contributed towards.

Thursday

On Thursday an own clothes day was held and we encouraged people to wear yellow to support the charity Young Minds which all money was donated to from both the bake sale and the own clothes day. Overall, we accumulated £655.
