Today is SQA results day and pupils will receive their outcomes digitally or by post direct from the SQA, depending on what they selected.

Overall the results indicate a positive performance for the school with many outstanding results achieved by our young people. Inevitably some will have exceeded their expectations, some achieved in line with what they hoped, and some will be disappointed. My message to all our pupils is that one set of results does not alone define their learning journey and it is now about the next steps.

Appeals

SQA sent a document to all young people who sat exams this year. This provides information on potential appeals – click here to access. Any enquiries to the school on appeals can be made by calling the office,  emailing us, or speaking with staff when we return next week.

Help With Next Steps

For pupils who have left school, staff can still provide advice and support. There is also a results helpline service provided by Skills Development Scotland – call 0808 100 8000.

For pupils returning to school next session, one-to-one support will be available when they we start back next week. School staff will provide guidance on what to do next to maximise chances of success in the year ahead.

Congratulations to those celebrating success today.
